Are there any witnesses but his unhappy wife? It doesn't take a lot of policework to determine he's going to be armed as a Sheriff. I'm not saying she's lying, but they'll be going uphill if they get a jury.

I can't remember if he worked for LPD or LMPD, but he was here for a few years before running for sheriff down there.
