Officer dies of self-inflicted gunshot wound |
RE: Officer dies of self-inflicted gunshot wound
Why does the police department feel compelled to advise the media of this tragedy? There have been over 80 suicides this year and I can't recall reading about one in the paper or seeing it on television. I am sure someone in that 80 suicides had some standing in their profession or community. We don't have to tell the media everything.

Why would they do anytbing that could possibly cause compassion for the dept? It would remind the public thay LEO'S are, gasp, human beings. Now, if therr was done sort of wrongdoing or reason to give him negative attention they would he all over it.
