Most officers did not work a 10 hour shift 4 days a week, as the WDRB article reads. Unless I'm mistaken, it was only the midwatch platoons that were working a 4/10 schedule. Everyone else was already working an 8 hour shift in some form or fashion. I think some people are making it sound a lot worse than it really is.
