Seniority and promotional rules are explained very plainly in the first dozen pages of the contract. A few pages later, it explains how the FOP can file a grievance and go to arbitration. The FOP can take action once it finds out they violated the contract or any laws affecting the contracts execution. Why didn't the FOP do that?

I am sure any civilians and command staff who knowingly broke the law will NOT have a list of their names sent to the courts like they do for officers. Funny how they never have disciplinary action of any kind when they break the rules unless it involves a sex organ and media coverage. There is not even a unit of city government that does administrative internal affairs cases on command staff or any other member of the Mayors handpicked team in other agencies. The news media sits on their lap like a yappy pomeranian.

Dave are they hurting your feelings? Instead of trying to defend yourself in the 3rd person why not take that time and actually work a few things that YOUR members care about. just sayin'
