I always wondered why my new METRO name tag had my "serving since" date reflecting my sworn date and all my spit-n-polish county brothers had thier hire date. But looking back, it really was hard to read cuz my uniform was always so dirty, covered in booze, vomit and semen.

I know several people that are getting involved in this. What the OP said is 100% true in that metro is not contacting people.

Speaking personally I'd really like to know about 2 lists in particular that I was on that I know I would have moved up quite a bit if seniority wouldn't have been capped. I have yet to get a reply from the merit board or dave but hopefully i'll hear back soon

This may come at a shock to some of you but the fop isn't getting involved. Possibly one of the largest mistakes by metro since the merging of the depts and guess what? The fop wants nothing to do with it..hahaha

I finally got some answers on this. They're telling me that out of the last 12 promotional lists between Sgts and Lts the seniority issue has only affected 3 people!! This is insane to think that these tests come down to hundreds of a point yet only 3 people in 12 years are actually affected?????

I knew that metro would attempt to downplay this as much as possible but I had no idea that they would straight lie cheat and steal.

From my understanding what the orignial poster said is true and in order to actually pursue this you need to get a private attorney which I plan to do.

I know theres a lot of people fixing to get screwed! problem is it doesn't matter what side youre on. if you should have been promoted then you'll be screwed out of back pay and back seniority with some BS settlement pushed down your throat which of course will be endorsed by the fop. If youre on a current list youre getting screwed because you ain't getting squat nor will you be promoted. Heres whats going to happen metro will offer a little something to a couple people and tell them either take the deal or risk getting nothing if it goes to court because chances are metro's number one golf buddy will be the judge.

bottom line is, if by chance you are offered lube you probably better take it because a dry shaft is pretty uncomfortable

I can't believe how much metro is trying to under play this issue. I have demanded to see the corrected lists from a few years ago but they are refusing to let me see where I ended up.

I have contacted an attorney because I know I should have been promoted a long time ago.

PS fop never returned my email or call :(
