Sorry, suburb people, but you're not on the political donor list.

So, let me get this correct. They add a new Major position to the Mobile 9th Division (104,000 yearly) which in turn opens another Major position to replace in the 4th (104,000 yearly) and adds another Lieutenant position (88,000 yearly) and a Sergeant (65,000 yearly.) They had to replace the VIPER name to the Mobile 9th Division to justify another Major position to be over a Division. Otherwise, justifying another Major salary would not had been successful. All this while the beat officers suffer with a crappy schedule and added yearly details.

Tax paying citizens being forced to pay "off duty" officers to provide the type of service that should be handled on a routine basis by on duty personnel.

You know what we really need?

More bike lanes....that'll do the trick.

Despite the insanity of the aforementioned story, the liberal residents of Old Louisville will continue to throw thier money away by voting democrat.

These are high times we're livin' bro.

The news reported a few months ago about how people in the west end wanted more police. City hall is determined to cut overall manpower, so that means cutting the number of officers on duty before and after midnight, turning undercover detectives into uniformed flex units and cutting officers in the east end. This administration is a travesty. I call shennanigans on their candy @sses.

3rd division is getting more officers? We were told our shift is going from 21 to 18. So that's less...I think? I don't know I'm just a dumb cop. Anyhow then our minimums are being raised. We were told that vtime was gonna be hard to do. So we lose our shift to make more officers available but then we are losing our officers?!?! The special survey also addressed the details. There's no way around that? I disagree. The details are not for the citizens of Louisville. We run with about 7 when there's a detail. Hope that the citizens feel safe with 7 people covering them.

Does the dept owe you money? As many of you know there is a lawsuit going on concerning how the merit board factors seniority. While trying to reach a settlement with a "select" few the merit board openly admits to factoring seniority wrong since the merging of the two depts over a decade ago. This is a huge mistake that is extremely far reaching in terms of how many people it affects and the amount of money in potential damages at stake.

In knowing this metro govt is seeking to settle this lawsuit as quickly as possible with as few people as possible to minimize damage and avoid an all out class action lawsuit with massive amounts of money at stake. Keep in mind once it's settled there will be no revisiting this issue by the huge number of people affected.

If you have taken a promotional exam since merger then there is a very good chance this may affect you and you may be owed potential damages. Metro is not going to contact you and offer you money for their mistake. It's up to you to contact the merit board and fop and demand to see the recalculated lists to know just how badly this affected you and what you're entitled to. I hear that it's completely shocking. There are people on the recalculated lists that should have been promoted over 10yrs ago! Talk about damages, this is huge.

Those potentially affected may be entitled to lost damages in the form of:

Back pay

Back dated seniority

Immediate Promotion

As well as damages for time lost

This mistake affects nearly everyone that has taken a promotional exam since merger. It very dramatically changes the out come of every single list! It does not matter if you have already been promoted you are still entitled to damages in the form of back pay and back dated seniority.

If you don't say anything you won't get anything. If you don't take action metro will settle this as quickly as possible with the "selected" few and you will not get what your entitled to and you'll never have a chance to revisit the issue again because the case will be settled.

Feel free to share on facebook and twitter as well as word of mouth. I really hate to see people lose out on what they are rightfully owed.

Contact the merit board and fop immediately!

thank you for your time.

Hundreds shed their shirts and walked three miles through the Highlands topless, bringing the national Free the Nipple movement to the streets of Louisville.

The group of men and women walked from Willow Park to Douglass Loop to protest what they call unequal censorship across genders. Their basic assertion is if men can walk bare chested without being sexualized, harassed, or considered indecent, then women should have the same freedom.

Approximately two hundred people turned out; about a quarter of them, were totally topless women. Walkers of all ages participated, and though some were well into middle age, the event was organized by a group of teenagers from St. Francis High School.

...this story is all one big misunderstanding. Obviously, the guy thought he was at Jack In The Box.

NO WAY! This Guy was Arrested for Doing THIS at the Restrooms in a Burger King in Florida

Sep, 2015

by Cassy Fiano

People go to Burger King expecting to enjoy a nice Whopper sandwich and some fries, maybe let their kids run around in the play area… you know, typical things. But one man at a Florida Burger King decided to show off his own personal Whopper to the customers there.

Police arrested a man at a Burger King in Florida after he continued to expose and touch himself after being told to stop.

A female witness told police that Jefferson King was exposing himself while he was sitting near the restrooms in the restaurant at 1210 North Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach, WPBF reported.

The woman made eye contact with the 33-year-old and asked him what he was doing.

‘What? I’m playing with my ********* he replied, according to the police report on Thursday’s incident.

The woman went to the restaurant’s manager, who told King to leave – but he refused.

According to WPBF, the man continued to sit in the seat and touch his genitalia.

The manager immediately called West Palm Beach police.

When officers arrived, King told them that he had done nothing wrong and said he didn’t know what they were talking about.

He was arrested and later charged with indecent exposure, giving police a startling mug shot, where his eyes appear large and crossed. He is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.

We can only hope that no children were subjected to his sick little show. And as for this creeper, at least he’s in jail for now — and hopefully, will only be released if he agrees to get some serious help, and fast.

The city will put free wifi in the west end and let people make false accusations against officers without being prosecuted, perhaps even with a pre-emptive apology. They will talk about officers as if they're guilty before a case is even closed. Don't expect them to be honest about why they ignored seniority or when they realized it violated every rule in the book. Billy Joel should sing at the next concert they throw for the Mayor's political base at city expense.
