The FOP got two legal opinions on the KRS seniority language after it was brought to their attention. Both attorneys said Metro was violating state law. This was like a year ago. The FOP sent a letter to the Merit Board telling them they were violating law and to fix it. Merit Board said get bent. Merit Board got sued. Now Merit Board says we were violating the law and need to fix it. No real cover up here. They got outed.
