This shouldn't be put to a vote at all. Why aren't we voting whether we should or should not go to using body cameras? Why are we not voting whether we should or should not have to pay a fee to use take home cars for off duty work?

The point is, the Chief is the Chief and should make a decision based on the needs of the department. For those who always think they deserve a choice in every single matter, I have one word for you: ENTITLEMENT.

What vote? Who said anything about a vote? This is a place of employment, not a democracy. LMPD pays us to do a job and carry out their mission. It's not a difficult concept.

12 hr shifts would be best ..

12 hr shifts would be much better that 8 hr shifts , on 12 hr shifts you would get every other week-end off and on 8 hr(6 @ 2 ) yu only get a week - end off every 5th and 6th week. However the days you work that's about all yu cane do on your work day.
