Many people will soon shut up or will have to move on down the road when bodycam 101 goes into effect.

I will be glad to keep the burnouts in check.

Same story of under paid and misunderstood.

I am glad to have a job. You should too.

That's great for him. I bet he's not going to another city with 1200 or more officers where his pay and benefits are 15K more a year, though. I don't think he's a burnout or otherwise, he is just avoiding the simple economics of the situation. Of course any of us could apply or go to a city paying 15K a year more, like J-Town, St. Matthews, etc. They are small cities with a great tax base and can afford to put more resources into their much smaller police departments. Louisville has a whole lot of other places to spend money than these small cities and a whole lot of areas that don't contribute much tax revenue. Everyone knows this. It is what it is. Most people that work here and sight low pay, etc are not happy with the dept, the command staff, or even Jefferson County as a whole. That doesn't make it wrong to look out for yourself and go somewhere that pays more, but it also doesn't mean you can't earn a living at LMPD.
