You are so right. I work with a platoon of them and they have no shame in their behavior. They whine about making more runs than their beat partner the exact same way a cashier at Krogers whines about being the only lane open (doing all the work).

"I have taken three reports today and he is still on that stolen vehicle recovery. Waaah, waaah, waaah......"

Anyone involved in the hiring process knows the department gets people who are in unstable jobs, jobs they hate, low paid jobs and the military. A few are PD retirees. The days of people passing up good opportunities to come here and lining up by the thousands to take the test are long gone. Most college grads do not give 2 seconds to the thought of working at LMPD except as a bridge to a better agency. If you have seen any 27 year iron workers who applied thats news to me. Thats real work and their bodies are probably broken down after 27 years.
