LMPD officers under investigation can get fresh start with resignation

Many department finish internal investigation no matter what happens. Some like LMPD see this as an easy way to push people into leaving so as to avoid the extra paperwork and risk of losing the administrative case. PIU is under no obligation to end a criminal investigation for falsifying time sheets, as an ex-Traffic officer knows very well. The department knew she went to BCSO and said nothing.
