Excellent post. Simple as that. Do the right thing or be prepared to be held accountable if you don't. It will be known.

The departments having the most problem officers are the ones paying too little to get good people who will stick around. Baltimore PD and NYPD pay in the low forties after the academy. LMPD pay has always been low but the 20 yr retirement made up for it. Now thats gone. Politicians can either pay for good people or keep playing whackamole with the bad cops. Those are the choices.
