Lots of officers and their kids have become sick over the years. A lot of times you never hear anything about it. Someone's daughter gets sick and everyone goes into crusade mode. Someone elses daughter gets sick and you never hear a word about it. Some people will never have any use for you until they're in dire straits.

K9-7 was chasing a man with a gun. He deployed his dog. The bad guy jumped down from a wall and continued running. The dog jumped down and apprehended the suspect. When K9-7 jumped down, one leg landed correctly, the other leg got caught behind an electric box that was covered with snow. His leg snapped. After freeing himself, he continued over to the suspect, assisted with handcuffing the suspect, secured the dog, called EMS for the suspect first, then asked for an ambulance for himself. That's exactly what happened. Shame on the mayors office and the PIO for saying he slipped on the ice and that's why you should clean your sidewalks off. K9-7 is a warrior. There's no quit in him. Great job also to Jennifer and Sean. 4 armed bad guys off the street. Sorry Scott for taking any attention away from you. I hope you're well soon.

Metro Council to hold special meeting about increased violence in Louisville

Metro Louisville has had 21 homicides in 2015. That's more than five times higher than the same time frame in 2014. It's a number the city's not proud of, and on Monday, March 9, a special meeting will be held to address the increase of violence.

"I mean, a year ago today we had four murders," he said. "Today, we have 21 in that same time, and we've had an outpouring of concern."

Are you kidding? Those guys got ripped off. Let's forget about the possibility they may have done it. If they were wrongly imprisoned, the City could have paid out several millions easily. Settlements are not about principle...they're about cutting your (potential) loses.
