I nominate this for dumbest statement made in a news report in 2015.

"While homicides have increased, LMPD says that violent crimes are the same, there is just more attention because they have resulted in death."

Leadership Culture of LPD Commanders

Sadly, I see the leadership of former LPD appointed commanders as egotistical, self-serving, and very much inline with Robert C. White's "get all you can" philosophy. Every former county CO I have worked for has been either good or exceptional. LPD is out for money, power or sex. That must have been a sorry department to work for.
