A simple formula. They will keep murdering each other, we will still be earning a paycheck and working for LMPD, and if the current trend among officers keeps going at the same steady rate as it's been for the last decade, most of us will no longer be living in Jefferson County and won't have to care about what happens in Louisville. It's called job security, nothing to worry about.

Until this Mayor wakes up and realizes he hired the weakest leader and Chief period. In turn that Chief has four Colonels who have no clue about leadership or policing, much less credibility. The spike in homicides will continue and become the norm in Louisville. This department needs someone that is a police officer, believes in good police officers doing the right thing for all of us living here, and is a leader, who will appoint leaders with credibility that understand good policing. Go to court and listen to the officers, they have no faith in this leadership team at the top, to include a few of the recent Major appointments. For anyone to think this doesn't have an effect on them and that they don't know what good leadership is they are sadly mistaken. The frontline officers know very well what it is and they don't believe they have the support. This Chief and his front office staff are a primary cause of why crime is going up that is only going to get worse. What a pitiful shame for LMPD, and the community. No one believes that this staff does or will act any different than what happened in Denver. Look at them now. Just saying.
