I have seen the whole EPO/DVO idea fail miserably for decades. Its no protection against the typical spouse beater. Most of them are obsessive and bipolar and think nothing of court paperwork. The only real protection is leaving town with no traces or getting a weapon and learning how to use it in self defense. The idea that courts and paperwork can protect anyone is a charade.
