Absolutely it is...on paper....don't get too comfortable with that assertion tho. There is a little clause called "totality of circumstances" or "what a reasonable person would believe". If you overreact to a situation a use deadly force, you could easily find yourself to be a defendant regardless of what the letter of the law said. Just saying...
