True, as far as letting people go with just a citation/court date or telling them to go have their traffic violation bench warrant redocketed. There are plenty of people who need to go to jail, but on a busy Friday night with minimum manpower to respond to calls, plus a two hour wait at Corrections.... I would totally be okay with seeing my tax dollars go toward a huge mega-jail and about 1,000 more corrections officers in Louisville Metro.
