Bull! Police should absolutely take sides, but enforce the law equally. We should take the side of law abiding citizens/victims against criminals. We should take the side of good, hardworking, productive citizens against thugs who rob, steal and defraud to get what they want. But most of all, we should take the side of truth, facts and evidence against those who condemn all police by using information and symbolic reference that is totally devoid of truth, facts or evidence. We should protect their right to protest but we don’t have to stand silently and let them assassinate our character by spewing untruths and calling for change when in most cases no change is needed. If you want to blame the police for the death of a man that was resisting arrest because they refused to walk away, but instead did their sworn duty and took him into custody, by wearing an ignorant “I can’t breathe” shirt then I say to you – “Breathe Easy, Obey the Law.
