Allowing a police officer to work an average of 80 hours per week over the course of a year could make them very fatigued. If something ever went wrong, you can bet an attorney will raise that issue in a lawsuit. Is there some unique skillset required to run radar that prevents other officers from getting traffic O.T.? It's not rocket science.
