TRUTH

December 7th, 2014 @ 11:08PM (9 years ago)

the truth in all of this is that the proprietors for the article talk about what the police will have to change or how the police are doing something wrong. the actual truth is what is being ignored and that is what the public is doing. the police and policing is reactive in nature. the movie minority report is not here yet. the police have to see YOU doing something BEFORE they act. even in that sense ky law even says that a person can't resist even if the arrest is unlawful and MUST seek redress through the courts. so a simple turn around you are under arrest is what state law requires. anything the citizen does AFTER that besides complying is Illegal and therefore automatically allows for an escalation in force. that is why there is the charge of resisting arrest.

not saying it is wrong or right but comments that say "The elephant in the room is Ferguson, wanting to get these cameras quickly," Schroeder said. "There's a lot of misconceptions about how police operate in what they do. The video is going to show you what happened." adds to the problem when the people in charge don't clear up the mystery/misconception implying the testimony to the Ferguson Grand Jury is flawed. Major how about dissecting how the information is being misconceived then putting it into proper perspective?

"Technology advances are taking away some of the mystery behind what is and isn't classified as justifiable deadly force by police," reads the petition, which started on Oct. 30. NO!! KRS takes the mystery away. if you do something that a reasonable person perceives as a threat to their life then deadly force is justified. remember the u of l baseball player who killed the u of l football player for assaulting him and his brother downtown which also happened to be in the area where the juveniles went on a rampage in march? no cries of "where are the cameras at these dangerous intersections to capture the truth" this was also an unarmed black man shot by a white man in case you forgot.

truth be told this is nothing more than a political agenda using events in different parts of the country to affect an undemonstrated need for change locally. as proof, after all of the cries of racial profiling, all of the studies taxpayers pay for that go through uofl and spi to study traffic stops etc and numerous federal investigations of shootings in the last 20 years locally name one incident that was found to be a racially motivated excessive use of force that was upheld by judicial review. hell break it down even further to make it easier on the nay sayers. name one incident in the last 20 years locally that is police related that was judicially reviewed and declared racially motivated. now name one that was judged as excessive use of force. and don't say mattingly, he was found not guilty after judicial review.

THEIR ANSWER WILL BE BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE VIDEO WE DON'T KNOW AND NEVER WILL BECAUSE WITHOUT THE VIDEO YOU CAN' TRUST THE OFFICER

I will never do anything proactive for this agency again. We are the laughing stock of the state. Nobody wants you to do ANYTHING. Understand that. This is not the first time I have uttered those words on this forum. I said it years ago before all this recent BS started, and I'll say it again. We basically do nothing. If you do anything other than show up for work, answer your radio and collect a $50,000 paycheck for doing nothing then you are a major fool. Get that through your heads. PLEASE!!

Politically Intimidated Police Afraid to Shoot Maniac Who Chased Them With Butcher Knife-

The insane consequences of the fabricated “police brutality” spectacle that began in Ferguson are already putting lives at risk. From Milwaukee:

A Milwaukee man has been arrested after allegedly chasing two police officers with a large butcher knife and threatening to kill them.

Alfonso Martinez, 26, was charged with two counts of recklessly endangering safety by using a weapon on Thursday.

Authorities said the incident occurred Monday when two police officers were investigating a double homicide. The officers discovered two dead bodies when they entered a home on the 3200 block of N. Richards Street. Once they encountered Martinez, the officers said he threatened to kill them and began chasing them around parked cars while wielding a large butcher knife. The officers eventually arrested him after Martinez dropped his weapon.

One of the officers involved told investigators that this was “the most frightening experience” she has had as an officer. She also admitted that she was “beginning to wear out from the running” before Martinez ultimately surrendered. …

The two officers said they refrained from shooting Martinez given the recent widespread backlash against officers using excessive and deadly force on citizens.

Police are actually more afraid of Eric Holder and the leftist vermin who run the media than they are of maniacs attacking them with butcher knives.

Imagine if Martinez had been a sacred black. Rather than run, the police probably would have dropped their guns and knelt in obeisance.

Good thing he chose to drop the knife. It was entirely his call.

I have one question for all you dissatisfied cops: Who pulled the shotgun on you, made you go to civil service/merit board, sign all the papers, take all the tests, complete recruit school and report for duty every day? Give me a name, I will see to it that a Class Action law suit is filed and you can all make millions on the civil rights violations alone not to mention the Federal kidnapping and sex slave statutes ? Remember: THE MARINES ARE LOOKING FOR A FEW GOOD MEN.

Man who set himself on fire wants local activist freed from jail.

By H. Nelson Goodson

December 5, 2014

In case you think the recent protests were extreme, they go to a whole other level in El Mexico. This is why having a border is important.

Chiapas, Mexico – Agustín Gómez Pérez, 21, set himself on fire in front of the Tuxla Gutiérrez legislative palace in Chiapas and called for his uncle Florentino Gómez Giron, a local activist to be freed from prison. After setting himself on fire, Pérez’s companions helped distinguish the flames and he was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Giron was detained for allegedly stealing cattle, according to the protesters.

On November 25, two women, Bibiana Gómez Gómez and Lucirelia Sánchez Díaz who are related to Giron sewed their mouths in protest of holding Giron in prison since May 1. The women and other protesters had gathered at the legislative palace in the municipality of Cintalapa to protest Giron’s imprisonment without due process.

How about riding your beat!!

I often see 5 or 6 cop cars trailing each other or huddle together in a parking lot like wimpy little mice cornered by a stealthy cat. It is such a coward look. LMPD officers ride solo but apparently some cops need the security blanket of other officers sniffing their booty every time their cruiser moves. "Oh, but we work in a bad neighborhood. Yeah, we know we elected to work down here to show our buddies how cool we are in the academy, but nobody down here looks like us and we are outnumbered..."
