Judge's political talk leads to deputy misstep |
RE: Judge's political talk leads to deputy misstep
I am assuming you are new around here because it sounds like you actually think that would bother him. He gets paid a fee for conferencing a case and does so many of them he is continually passing them and is one of the later attorneys to make an appearance in district court conference rooms. If you want to take every little case to trial (which is the County Attorney's decision - not yours) than you will wait for a long time before he comes back for a bench trial. Than, he gets paid even more for going to trial (even a bench trial costs more, just ask) compliments of your "teaching him a lesson". You waste hours on end in court and he makes more money? Wow, that's showin' him!!

Only way to get in any lawyers pocket is to stop locking people up. When the well runs dry with cases they will start feeling the pinch. Go to work and collect your check. No reason to worry about crime because the front office surely doesn't want anyone doing their job.
