I was taught "many" years ago at the KSP Academy - that it was our job to get em to the courthouse doors - after that it doesn't matter - it's just a "game" - don't take it personally - let em out, it's job security! Too many people on this site worry about the court system - there's NOTHING you can do about it. Enjoy life more.
