20 year sentence handed down for 20-year-old who shot LMPD officer

The O.P. appeared to be saying that if the police are in trouble they are deemed guilty until proven innocent. The department goes on TV and tells the media how they will hold rule breakers accountable. The department tells the media almost nothing about murderers, since their right to a fair trial must be protected. I wonder why they're not as concerned about a fair trial for officers they charge.
