Agreed. The first thing that I thought when I read that post was "support" !!!

Police officers should NEVER place themselves in a position (publicly) where they appear unified as a group and that unification is inspired by personal emotions. It has farther reaching implications than you have the right to do it...it just looks bad. It is an imbalance of power especially in a courtroom. It places intimidation on the judge and undue pressure on the prosecutor. If you're thinking "that's what we want" then I cannot help you. One day you will understand the logic.

Correction. FOP is only a fraternal order to SOME who are police. You are not there for everyone in your organization. You do NOT show up in numbers to everyone's defense. That sir or ma'am is not true.

If you think I am lying, look thru past court cases of any officers who were either accused of something or had to fight to clear their name. You will NOT see FOP standing in numbers behind them and that is the truth.

FOP picks and chooses where they want to appear and show support and I KNOW this for a fact. There is no true brotherhood here. It's every man or woman for them self.
