20 year sentence handed down for 20-year-old who shot LMPD officer

Another interesting thing about this is that they're saying the suspect was just charged with shoplifting, but the 6th Division Block Watch report they put on the internet says "Robbery – 4025 Poplar Level Road @ Kmart (Shoplifting) - Employee reports suspect removed merchandise from the store without payment. When approached by store employee suspect attempted to flee by force causing injury to the employee. Officer Arrested"

If she struck the employee then she should have been charged with robbery. It would be nice if the department would report crimes accurately so the public knows whats going on.
