Good post. Thank you.

It is strategically crafted that way on purpose. Look at whose driving the new Tauruses. I know it's petty, but these people are very sophisticated and no decision they make is without racial consideration.

There should be a Bridge the Gap unit with a few dozen Lt's at least. They could show movies in the park every day and hand out cotton candy and candy apples. I volunteer to do outreach to athletic women age 18 to 28 for recruiting full time.

I'm sorry......I didn't mean to interrupt your Black Panther party.

"Tell me why in every recruit class there are no more than 3 African Americans in them?"

African Americans make up roughly 13% of the U.S. population. Let's do the math, shall we. A class of 19 officers recently graduated the academy. If there were 3 African Americans in the graduating class, that would mean that 15.7% of the class was African American. Therefore, the class accurately reflects the demographics of the local populace. If you'd like to argue with the mathematics, I'll be waiting patiently to read your thesis on how and why Pythagoras was a racist.

Let's see if your passionate belief that an organization should be representative of fair and accurate racial demographics. Look at the above photo. Why are there so few whites represented? Are they less qualified?

Wrong thread????

Which post are you reading? Your opinion and arguments below have nothing to do with what was in the posted article.

The FOP president never said there wasn’t racial bias within the LMPD – he never mentioned it.

He never mentioned anything about the racial/gender make up of the dept and never said anything about who does or doesn’t get hired – never mentioned.

He never said anything about specialty units – never mentioned.

He never said anything about who does or doesn’t get terminated – never mentioned.

He never said anything about “speaking for the African American community” or what the African American community “thinks or feels”.

What he said was that Attica Scott has an irrational fear of the police and that it was sad. In America, if you are afraid of police officers because you think they are licensed and paid to kill black children, then that fear is irrational, plain and simple. Obviously there is zero evidence to support her claims.

What he said was that there is a much higher probability that her son would be killed by another black youth than by a police officer. This is a no brainer - do the math.

So, the argument you make does nothing to refute what the post actually stated.

BTW, how do you know the FOP president doesn’t care to know about the African American Community? How do you know that he thinks everything is “ok”? What makes you think he is privileged?

Who’s the one speaking about others out of turn and making judgements……?

Racially motivated assault at Kroger in Memphis, TN

This fight happened on September 6, 2014 at the Kroger at Poplar and Highland in Memphis, Tennessee. According to witnesses, a mob of teens attacked store employees at the front entrance to the store, and later an elderly customer in the parking lot.

Video was uploaded to facebook and deleted since.

Notice the wonderful civilian who asks someone to hold his camera and record him. Priorities.

Hey O.P. I've got a fabulous idea. You can start a new outreach initiative to hire and promote more of the "under privileged" you mentioned earlier. I've already contacted Antonio Brown's agent to secure him as a celebrity spokesperson and to license the image for your ad campaign. We'll call it, "The Leg-Up" Program. Whattaya think?

I was reading the headline listed below and I had another great idea for your outreach program...

‘"All You Could See Was Blood and Pumpkins’: Savage Parking Lot Beating Caught on Camera"

"Blood and pumpkins", it was like an epiphany... you could call your campaign "The Blumpkin".

Man, you are in luck. It appears another upstanding roll model has just recently come available for your outreach campaign. We'll call it the "Ray Rice's, Knock Out Racial Stereotypes and Drag Your A55 to the Civil Service Board". The best part is that you won't even have to pay him. They can have him do it as part of his court ordered community service following his conviction on domestic battery charges. It's win/win!

An oversized thug who had just finished robbing a convenience store attacks a police officer, literally breaking his face, and gets himself killed. The entire country is up in arms for weeks. The Attorney General even arrives on the scene to help the media splash gasoline. But chances are good you never heard this far more alarming story from elsewhere in Missouri:

An elderly couple have both died after being beaten in their Kansas City home during an attack in which three other people were fatally shot.

Kansas City police say Ann and George Taylor, both in their 80s, died Tuesday after spending a week in the hospital on life support.

Prosecutors allege that 34-year-old Brandon Howell attacked the couple in the basement of their home on Sept. 2, then fatally shot three neighbors before fleeing in the Taylors’ SUV.

He’s charged with several felonies, including three counts of first-degree murder for the shooting deaths of 88-year-old Alice Hurst, her son, 63-year-old Darrel Hurst, and 69-year-old Susan Choucroun.

It seems you can fill volumes with what you don't hear from the "the guardians of truth".
