But surprise, surprise, there was no uproar or social unrest. Where were the riots? Where were the vigils? Where were the high profile visitations by national civil rights activists? Oh yeah, I remember. There was one certain detail that made this shooting merely a bump in the road. Don't get me wrong. I have no sympathy for the detective. He was wrong and I'm sure he will receive justice but the aftermath would have been much different if the detective's melanin levels had been as high as his B.A.C.
