Officers really need to stay on their game here in Louisville. We have been very fortunate but times are changing. Indianapolis is a stark reminder how things can go South very quickly. There is a culture of people here who have no respect for life or property. Police officers are often caught up in the middle of society's failures especially in ultra liberal urban environments like Louisville. The shift over the years here from law enforcement to hand holding is starting to come around and bite us. Throwing money at so called problems is not the answer. The answer is attacking the root of crime without the political correctness or the fear of offending a group of people or individuals. A former JCPD commander many years ago once said "we won't violate the constitution, but we will be on the line." But hey as long as it isn't in my neighborhood who cares says the affluent home owner outside the downtown area. Be careful out there brothers, we only have each other.
