Great post. You can't be the first to say it. Why don't "they" listen? Guess it all boils down to money. Always does. Money and power are more important than what's right.

It's not that the people in the east end or south end afraid of political correctness, but that most people don't go downtown more than once or twice a year at most. We don't pay that much attention to what happens down there. Every time there's a shooting or assault, it's confirmation that the area is not worth visiting. There have been occasional race riots in Louisville since the 1960's so none of that is new. Most people are a lot more concerned about the suburbs having more violent crime than they used to have. That's one of the reasons so many people have gotten CCW licenses or moved out of the county.
