That's actually a pretty routine story. Domestics happen every hour all over town. When it's the police it gets in the news though.

This story is a little more indicative of how some parts of society have degenerated into total lunacy. I wouldn't let her take any airplane flying lessons either.

A mother is accused of leaving her baby in the middle of a road during an argument with the baby's father.

Witnesses called 911 to report the incident. That mother, Dunia Abdullahi, 20, was charged with wanton endangerment and faced a judge on June 27.

Baby Zina is only 3-months-old. Neighbors said they spotted her crying in the middle of the street on June 26 with nothing on but a diaper.

Court papers state the argument was over the father's alleged refusal to pick up Zina and take her to the ER for an illness.

Neighbor Toni Yelder said cars were traveling down the street at the time. Police records state that the baby was about five feet off the curb, and her mother had gone back into the house.

Yelder said she pleaded with the mother to pick the baby up.

"I put my feet on the concrete to see how hot it was outside and it was real hot on that concrete so I said girl get that baby up,” she said.

Police records state that the mother aggresively aproached anyone who tried to pick the child up, saying it was her child and to leave the child alone.

It was 87 degrees at the time, and the asphalt was even hotter.

Witnesses said the baby was on the asphalt for 15-20 minutes; the mother said it was closer to five minutes.

One expectant mother said she could not imagine putting her own child in harm's way.

Denisha Yelder said, “It really doesn't matter about what you're going through in your life, if your man leaves or something like that, but that's your baby. That child has nothing to do with that.”

Baby Zina was taken away by ambulance to be checked out. A family member has confirmed that she is OK and with her father.

The mother was ordered to have no contact with the baby girl.
