On the other hand, Metro government forbids its officers from sitting outside bars and waiting for obviously intoxicated people to get into cars and driving off. That will lower their tax revenue and anger their political contributors. If you're not getting sloshed then Metro can't pay its bills. Fourth Street Live is no replacement for real jobs.
