There are a select few "movers and shakers" in Louisville who call all the shots from behind a curtain. Jerry and the current mayor are puppets to these players. These players make all the decisions when it pertains to Louisville. For example what business interests will be given special treatment (Cordish), special zoning variances for favored investors, where revenue streams will be directed, who will be backed in elections. Look at all the holdovers from the previous administration (some even brought out of retirement). Planning and zoning old holdover, chief financial officer old holdover brought back, musical chairs at MSD and the water company, and the list goes on and on. Indianapolis and Nashville have left Louisville in the dust. Here a small group of individuals with old money and outdated ideas comtrol Louisville from the shadows. There is absolutely no accountability or oversite of MSD (raises rates every year) Louisville Water Company (raises rates yearly) Jefferson County Public Schools (1 Billion plus tax paying budget yearly) and don't even mention the school board, they don't even understand the budget or what is in it. Oh, we must submit the budget by a deadline to the state board and it is very complex so we don't have much time to try to explain the budget to the school board says a spokes person for JCPS. All that money and Jefferson County still is at the bottom few nation wide for education. As Doctor Phil would say "How's that working for you?" Yes the few wealthy and influential behind the curtain call the shots
