Want crime to drop? Just move the location or downgrade it to a lesser offense. Have street gangs and riots? Nah, those look like random crimes committed by middle schoolers. Its not how you police its how you look and LMPD looks marvelous.

Little Rock Police chief addresses 'most dangerous city' ranking

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) -- A national real estate group ranks Little Rock as the United States’ most dangerous mid-sized city.

"If you take homicides and assaults, for instance, there's generally a connection between the people, prior knowledge or some type of relationship. It may not be very close, but they know each other in about 75 percent of our offenses."

Thomas added that while Little Rock's crime stat, like 1 in every 149 people will be victim of a violent crime, may be stunning when compared to other cities, there may be some misconceptions.

"Someone once asked 'What's the best way to make crime go down 10 percent?’ The simple answer is ‘quit taking the reports.’ Unfortunately, some agencies do that,” he added.

Burns, who's only been a Major a minute is being promoted to Assistant Chief!!! Really? This Department and Chief is a joke.

This dept is so scared of the west end gang who has their fingers throughout city gov't includind the ppolice dept. He who controls the votes controls the gov't. The mayor, chief, council and everyone else are afraid to stand upp and do what is right because of this. So live with it or get out. I did the latter.

Shout out ALL Shout out to that fine a** officer who was working that wreck on the Watterson/Preston today around 1730. I'm not one for rubber necking, especially in those instances, but that man was breaking necks today. Stay safe....please!

I cannot believe they are going to promote an officer / Lt. who has lied during an official investigation on her vehicle while in PIU and also accused of FRAUD from her dealings with child support. BTW, these were found to be valid and she actually did each of them. The chiefs office has requested her files from PIU, maybe to bury them so they cannot be seen and there is no egg on those in charge of this terrible decision. She is a nice person but has way too many issues in her past to be a commander of any division.

Buck, I could not be more happy for you or our department. Your leaving here will bring much needed relief to those you have been an unbearable azz to.

At least there will no more little Bucks...
