Patrol is by far the best job on LMPD. Lots of sergeants and lieutenants only wish they could go back to riding a beat, even despite the decrease in pay. It'd be a lot less headaches. There are quite a few detectives who would also like to go back to riding a beat, but it's not worth giving up the weekends/holidays off and risking pi**ing off their wives.
