When Ellis was killed there was a ton of attention (and still is) yet other fallen officers in the same time frame were essentially ignored by LMPD. If anyone else had been the chief, would LMPD officers still have been crazy to get the funeral? And virtually NONE showed up when he was added to the state memorial, although plenty went to DC - why?
