There is training for regular officers to confront active shooters in schools, but only because the risk of not doing something far exceeds the risk of doing something. If someone is in their own home, armed, and ready to kill police then it's a likely deathtrap unless you are SWAT trained. Is a minor league dope bust worth all that risk?
