Impulsive hotdogs translate "we don't need SWAT for everything" to also mean "we don't need SWAT for anything." Anyone who's been around a while can name a few people who are very lucky the suspect just decided he didn't want to go to prison for murdering an officer. Don't compromise officer safety just because you think you're Starsky or Hutch. The only people trained to go into a house having an armed hostile suspect are on SWAT. Know your role and stick to it.
