The Zetas were busted here and supposedly the Gulf cartel is in Louisville too. You can logically assume all of the drug dealers and local gangs like "The Family" who supposedly don't exist according to HQ are getting their dope from them. The department needs fewer traffic details and more trafficker details.

MEXICAN CARTELS IN THE U.S.

Borderland Beat reports that this past February Chicago declared Sinaloa cartel leader Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán its first "Public Enemy No. 1" since Al Capone

Jack Riley, head of the DEA's Chicago office, told CNN: "While Chicago is 1,500 miles from Mexico, the Sinaloa [Federation] drug cartel is so deeply embedded in the city that local and federal law enforcement are forced to operate as if they are on the border."

Borderland Beat reports that, according to the U.S. Department of Justice, the Mexican drug cartels have set up shop throughout the United States as follows:

Texas: Federation, Juarez and Gulf cartels.

California: Tijuana, Federation and Juarez cartels.

Minnesota: Tijuana and Federation cartels.

Michigan: Federation cartel.

Chicago, Illinois: Federation, Juarez and Gulf cartels.

Columbus, Ohio: Federation, Tijuana, Juarez and Gulf cartels.

Indiana: Federation and Juarez cartels.

Oklahoma: Federation and Juarez cartels.

St. Louis, Missouri: Federation, Juarez and Gulf cartels.

North Carolina: Federation and Gulf cartels.

Atlanta, Georgia: Federation and Gulf cartels.

Louisville, Kentucky: Gulf cartel.

Pennsylvania: Tijuana, Juarez and Federation cartels.
