At least it wasn't them saying "There are no dogs in West Buechel" followed by a leaked animal control situational report saying there are several dozen dogs there, followed by the Mayor saying animal control is wrong on tv while a pack of wild dogs runs loose in the background. That would be highly embarrassing.

I personally delt with Manning and his administration while in the 6th. He was an as*hole who tried to get me in trouble. Good thing I had a major and lt that knew he was crooked and a jerk. So he didn't get his way. He milked W Buechel for everything he could.

I am glad that I work in the 7th Division and not the 6th. I just heard that the mayor of West Buechel is going to shut the department down if she doesn't get to appoint her "Man". The 6th will be spending all their time at Walmart. So long West Buechel Police Department.

Seems a councilman in W Buechel is finally getting the goods on the dictator mayor Fowler. The business people hate the womans guts. She is as crooked as the day is long. Now the media is digging so I figure she will pull the racecard very soon. I put her in the same class as Shanklin. Politician's are all the same they get comfortable using someone else's money until they get caught. Hope she gets her dues.

"I've been under attack for quite a while now," Fowler says. "We have had a need for a dog several times over the last month or two."

After handling a dual purpose dog in Louisville/Jefferson County for over a decade, I can let you know the number of requests for service that I've personally been called to perform a drug search within the city limits of West Buechel. Exactly.Zero. I don't think that the mayor has any idea of the expense for the purchase and training of a professional working dog. Not to mention the cost of a specially equipped vehicle, training aids, food bills, veterinary bills, equipment, maintenance and upkeep. In addition to the $5000 to $10000 initial purchase price, you are talking about annual expenses amounting to ten of thousands of dollars per dog. Their problem could be solved by simply having the sheriff's office dispatch call MetroSafe and request an LMPD dog. Total cost to the City of West Buechel....zero dollars. But that would be too easy and make too much sense...after all, it is a governmental operation.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The majority of West Buechel council members voted down the mayor's choice for a new police chief Thursday.

Council members held a special meeting Thursday afternoon after Mayor Sharon Fowler chose a sergeant ahead of a lieutenant for the successor to retiring Chief Jeff Manning, whose last day on the job is Friday.

Now council members say a formal vote on a new police chief cannot take place until the next council meeting.

Mayor Fowler must appoint a new interim chief by Friday.

So Rich Pearson lost his lawsuit. With his militant attitude, I am not surprised. I understand he was offered $250,000 just prior to the trial. What an idiot. Barron, I support. I guess Rich plans to stick around just to be a thorn. He is not smart enough to retire. Who would hire him?

Guess he thought he would get a million out of the city if he won. Now he's got nothing but **** that will come from downtown. Before it's over he will retire if he is smart. But being Pearson and as arrogant as he is I doubt he will.LBMP

The plot thickens...

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The assistant chief of police, Brian Tillman, has resigned from his position with the West Buechel Police Department.

Tillman said Mayor Sharon Fowler has undermined his authority and appointed a lower ranking officer as chief of police who is on probation.

Chief Jeff Manning resigned earlier in May after clashing with city officials over the last few months.
