City to hire expert to determine appropriate size of police force

You are all that is wrong with LMPD...measuring productivity by stats is unethical and dubious (look it up). You believe an officer who does not bring in paper is not doing their job. Not going to change your mind, but what if an officer does not observe any criminal activity? Your answer would be that is impossible. A citizenry whose police department measures its success by how many arrests are made is living in a police state.

It sounds like you really miss you old department. Why in the world would you lower yourself to the "status quo" and just mingle with the commoners of a backwoods department like LMPD? You should have set your sights higher. Please feel free to turn in your resignation at any time so that you make break free of the surly bonds of earth and reach your true potential.
