When you use the word "retards", I find it very demeaning.....it mu-mu-mu-makes my eyes rain.

Some people spend their whole career in patrol, but it is the entry-level part of the department. If you never even tried to do anything else in 12 years, then I guess you have your reasons. There are a lot of people working late watch because the shifts are more predictable than being a Detective, and they can't get day work yet. There are also some guys who were Detectives and don't want to be tied up on cases after they retire. I doubt if any of them would prefer it if they didn't have family or retirement concerns. None of that means it's legal to retalliate against a good Detective by sending him to late watch on patrol against his wishes. Especially when it's because because he reported a 1-legged woman got coerced into an Alford plea by your old college friend's department.

After listening to Thomas Clay, you would think being in uniform is an insult. You would also think that being in uniform means you cant solve crime. Geeeez.
