I have always had a lot of respect for VR, but I don't understand why he is so coveted? You only like him because he was always "one of the boys". He is a relic from the old LPD guard, the SWAT fraternity, the alumni that took care of their own. If you are going to ask what has anyone else in the Chief's office done to earn their position, then you have to also apply it to VR. VR is a good person at heart and I really like him, but I cannot think of anything he has done that is any more spectacular than anybody else. Please advise.

Why is it not the Chief? It was ALWAYS the Chief when White was in office. I didn't care for Chief White when he was here, but he was always the blame. I believe it come down to the Chief and Dennis Simms at the end of the day.

"Morgan and Pearson allege they were retaliated against by superiors who felt Morgan’s inquiries into the closed state police case would upset the department’s cozy relationship with KSP, according to court documents. The allegations in the court documents also suggest that Kentucky State Police Commissioner Rodney Brewer and Louisville Metro Police Chief Steve Conrad have a friendship that goes back to their college days."
