It's been 100 to 200 understaffed since long before merger. EMS and Fire have had the same problems. The Aldermen, Fiscal Court, Metro Council, Mayor, County Judge Executive or whatever else they want to call themselves have always put public safety in the back seat. They like to think they are trying to protect the public but their actions speak louder than their words. This latest attempt to downplay the crime sprees downtown and pretend society somehow failed these juvenile delinquents and criminals
