Oh shut up! The problem is way bigger than anyone on LMPD can even phathom. We are simple beat cops trying to pay our bills. Some of the most powerful politicians can't even deal with the problem so what makes you think you will?

The US politicians are the problem not the solution. Democrats and Republicans do as little as legally possible about illegal immigration whenever they're in the White house because strong enforcement makes the Hispanic voters vote against them. There are also many businesses and farms who like the profits that cheap illegal labor allows for. Those businesses help pay for political campaigns and TV ads that will make someone lose a campaign. They don't really care that it's as easy to get into the USA today as it was in September 2001.

That said, most illegals aren't committing felonies and will cooperate if you speak a little Spanish and convince them its in the best interests of everyone involved in a non-hostile non-disrespectful manner out of earshot of anybody else. The ones who aren't here committing crimes don't like being stereotyped as drug dealers and gang bangers.
