If I see a riot, I call it what it is, not DC, not failure to disperse. Property damage and assaults are always involved. Let some spineless lawyer knock it down later, but the little hoodlums are going to sit in a cell for a while until then. Sorry their parent will have to wake up before noon to take them to court.

Riot" means a public disturbance involving an assemblage of five (5) or more persons which by tumultuous and violent conduct creates grave danger of damage or injury to property or persons or substantially obstructs law enforcement or other government function.

525.020 Riot in the first degree.

(1) A person is guilty of riot in the first degree when:

(a) He knowingly participates in a riot; and

(b) In the course of and as a result of such riot a person other than one (1) of the participants suffers physical injury or substantial property damage occurs.

(2) Riot in the first degree is a Class D felony.

Obviously someone smarter than you. I know all this. No way you would ever get a juvenile conviction for rioting in Louisville. Go ahead and try. Call it a dare. Oh and don't forget that I told you they will be out of jcyc before your shift is done.
