"Open Records Requests" are way overrated. The media uses them to bully the department with legal action if the department does not comply. The media will say they do the stories for transparency and accountability. Truth is, the media is all about promoting worthless gossip to generate revenue. They could care less about informing the public—it's about selling a product. Anything that even looks like a scandal will surely be met with an ORR to which LMPD will put it's tiny tail between it's legs
