State and local employees are also forbidden from running for partisan offices by the federal Hatch Act if their salary is paid directly or indirectly with federal loans or grants. If you want to be a politician then do it the old fashioned American way and inherit several million dollars so you don't ever have to work a real job beforehand.

Scandal after scandal and nobody questions the chief about the morons that continue to make us look like immature idiots. Who's been in charge of the hiring for the last 6 years anyway? Most of these clowns have about that much time on when they show their true colors. Can't keep it in their pants or keep their mouths closed, break more law's then they enforce, and are constantly embarrassing my beloved department. All you have to do is look on court net to see who's really working and who's not. Clean house chief or step aside and let someone do it. Kit is a horrible officer. He is an embarrassment to LMPD. He always has been. He has constantly been in trouble for juvenile behavior. The fact that he was promoted shows the lack of leadership at the Command level. How do you put this juvenile in charge of a unit and expect professionalism? He has a very long history of bad decision making....all because he is extremely immature. He should have been fired after his shooting. He should have been demoted from Sgt after he got kicked out of an inservice class. He should have been suspended for saying the wound above an African American's butt was from "where they cut the tails off". He should have been suspended and demoted for taking his car home (out of county) and then compromising the investigation of the stolen AR-15 from it. Just being in public with Kit (in uniform) and hear him farting, cussing, and using racial slurs should be enough to convince you that he not suitable to be an officer. Much less a commanding officer. He is one of the worst officers I have been around. I wonder if Phil Turner can still help him this time.
