I say he leans the other way! Probably a leftist, has a Cuban flag, and wears his Che Guevara T-Shirt, and voted for Obama.

Hey Hippie,

Last time I checked, the majority of dirtbags going to jail take dope, like Obama and don't have religion. They aren't exactly die-hard Republicans.

Sincerely,

The Moral Majority

Just for a few minutes, put away your pitchforks and torches....

For the record, I posted the original comment in reference to "The Blaze" website. I'll start with a little background on myself since some of you were so quick to rush to judgement and make assumptions about who I might be and what I might believe. After high school, I served four years active duty as a Marine Corps rifleman. For the past 20 years, I've served as a patrolman, making runs and undoubtedly standing side by side with many of you who are here as well, posting comments. I've never been a "hippie", a "Marxist", a "professor", a tree hugger, a stump humper or a dope smoking, flag burning, Che t-shirt wearing leftist as many of you are convinced I am. I've been a fan of Glen Beck and followed him since his show aired on CNN. I followed him to the Fox network and then became a daily listener of his radio broadcast. I am a registered republican and consider myself a conservative. With that being said, the reasoning behind my post is that I also go to The Blaze on a daily basis. Anyone reading this who frequents that website, can you honestly say that the majority of stories posted regarding law enforcement are positive? I see more and more often, that the stories that they choose to post cast police officers in a negative light, as mindless agents of an evil government bent on stripping citizens of their constitutional rights. The comments accompanying these stories only reinforce my opinion. (Emphasis on the words "my opinion") The majority of comments posted on The Blaze appear to be written by people fueled by anti-government paranoia and who are by no means a friend of honest, hard working police officers. For one of the more recent examples;

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/02/06/police-lapel-cameras-capture-intense-footage-of-high-speed-cop-killer-chase/

Just read the comments and tell me if you think these people are our friends. Again, this is merely my opinion.

"J"... You and your partner did a great job. I'm sorry you were injured but I know it could have been much worse. Stay safe, everyone.
