I think it takes a mix of cops from different backgrounds to influence each other and take care of business. We can all learn something from a partner every day. I am blessed (maybe spoiled) to work with a hell of a great platoon for the last decade. We have a wonderful mix of: old city, and old county; hard nosed fighters and intellectuals; college only and military only; a few college and military (me); 25 yrs on, and 5 f'in minutes on. We all work well together. We all respect and help each other.
